welcome to my corner of the internet!
ohayo! i'm anurag
[he/him]
i'm an undergraduate at nit durgapur , studying biotechnology. i've been building software for 4+ years, primarily across the web ecosystem. i've worked on trading interfaces, payment infrastructure and developer tooling used by thousands.
my work has mostly lived at the intersection of product and engineering, with a particular focus on frontend architecture, developer experience, and building scalable web applications and infrastructure.
outside of work, i've been gradually wandering deeper into the stack. lately i've been learning systems by building things from scratch, a chip-8 emulator in zig, a redis clone and a web-based sync engine. i've also spent a questionable amount of time tinkering with my *nix setup.
when i'm not building things, i like reading, consuming various forms of media, and doing maths when i'm bored.
thanks for stopping by!
experiences
I've previously worked on Cleopetra, where I developed and enhanced the trading interface for token pairs, helping LPs earn over $2M+ in fees with $30M+ in overall deposits. I focused on usability and performance, and integrated payment APIs while maintaining a scalable, complex frontend architecture.
I've previously also worked on CandyPay, a seamless checkout solution built on top of Solana Pay, where I led the frontend development. It was used by 500+ ecosystem teams, including Solana Foundation and Prospera Global, and was also used by Balaji Srinivasan during one of his Network State meetups. I built two production-ready web apps including a user dashboard and checkout platform, designed the frontend architecture from scratch, and created a React-based checkout SDK for easy integration across third-party sites.
I've worked on Metapass, a blockchain-based ticketing platform on Solana, where I contributed to building and maintaining user-facing components for the event creation and ticketing flow, and collaborated with the team to implement secure, on-chain ticketing logic via frontend integrations.
I also write developer-focused technical articles covering web development, tooling, and Web3 concepts, published on Hashnode and Dev.to, collectively reaching over 60,000+ readers.
achievements
CandyPay secured 4th place in the Payments track of the Solana Summer Camp Hackathon, with over 18,000 participants and 750 submissions, and received grants from the Solana Foundation.
CandyPay processed over $120,000 in transactions.
Won 2 global-level hackathons, showcasing innovation in Web3 and beyond.
CandyPay was adopted by Próspera Global for crypto-based tax payments and by Boba Guys for enabling crypto payments.
Caramel, a project that acts as a proof-of-work for monetization of npm packages, which can be purchased via cryptocurrency, with payment processing handled through CandyPay, won the Solana Sandstorm Hackathon.
Authored articles with 60,000+ views on Hashnode and Dev.to, covering web development and Web3 topics.
projects / gigs
a nintendo emulator written in rust.
a small fetch tool written in rust for linux, supposed to be really fast.
a tiny in-memory store like redis, built in golang. supports major redis operations and works with redis-cli.
a chip-8 emulator written in zig, with a tui frontend for running and playing chip-8 games directly in the terminal.
a vscode extension with react and next.js snippets, used by over 30,000 developers to speed up development.
a local-first sync engine with a kanban board on top. state lives locally and mutates optimistically, while the backend handles d1 persistence, conflict detection, and realtime updates over durable websocket.
and may the odds be ever in your favor :3
